Stardust Serenade
Beneath the cosmic canopy, we sway,
two souls lined in stardust’s gentle waltz.
The constellations hum their ancient lay,
and galaxies, like lovers, share their vaults.
Our hearts, celestial bodies, beat in time,
a rhythm spun from quasars’ fiery glow.
In nebulae, our dreams begin to climb
and meteor flowers trace our whispered flow.
The Milky Way, our ballroom vast and grand,
its spiral arms embrace our fleeting grace.
We pirouette through interstellar sand
leaving comet trails across bed and linen.
And...

In August of 1913 an 18 year old crewman named Nick O' Teen lost his life during a routine water-tight drill on board the King Arthur. He was crushed to death while trying to slip under Door 13 as the hatchway was closing.

To Swim In Me
Yours is to frantically tread in the storm of illness you plunged
Yours is to paint waves in hopes that your desperate glaze attracts an indifferent sun
Yours is to dive deep, to seek to cope as you see those who retreated from mistreated
stunned
Yours is to flock to who and what's shunned
Yours is to provide sometimes sickening funds
when waves wish to crash and rapid water splashes with blood
Yours is to be both life of the sea and it's floor
riddled with mud
Yours is no fun
Yours is unfavored...

The Schoolboys and the Rastafarian Men (With original Patois quotations)
Two schoolboys, Dan and Josh, attended the Independent City All Age School in St. Catherine. In the evenings, they used to walk through a cane field near the school when they were going home. Many tall coconut trees bordered the cane field. Dan and Josh would cut sugar cane and pick coconuts to eat. In addition to that, they would carry some sugar cane and coconuts home.
The boys had a big problem. They had to pass a construction site on the way home, and some men who worked there would beg them sugar cane and coconuts. If the boys refused to give the men what they asked...

Book review: A Marvellous Light, by Freya Marske
Okay, so I don't normally do book reviews, actually I don't do them at all. I just sometimes think about what I would say if someone asked about what I'm reading. No one ever asks.
This book almost demands a review, or something. I have read it three times in the last four days, which I never do.
With most books I enjoy, I read it, savour it, analyze it, and then stick it on a shelf for the next time I'm in the mood for it. I think I can name ever book I have read and reread, and held onto for the precious story it is. This is one of those books, only moreso.

Grow Up !
I DON'T SEE you
i am sure life is always fair
to give happiness or despair
bear in mind as long as you live
that you only get what you give
I have learned to be square
and fair any time any where
if i cheat then i'll surely pay
for my inequity the hard way
and so, i accept the outcome
what betides me is the logic sum
so it is even wisely unfair
when you still even complain
the irony, when the viper bites...

An Admonition to the Young Men
I was told a story once:
That of an
elephant
raised in
captivity.
Like the others, he was
robust,
stout.
Vivacious–
one thrash of his left foreleg contained within more
vigor
than what the old ones could even
dream of
remembering.
For his imprisonment
round a stake in a
suburban backyard, only the
strongest,
Grade One-Hundred
chains would
suffice.
Next year, perhaps Grade Eighty.
And the next, hauling line–
And the next
And the next
And the next… ...

Deliverance
She was sleepwalking through the night
Her soulless body anguishing in the dark
But in her dead eyes she was not of this world
As her tormentors screamed and chastised
Sal de este cuerpo!
The preacher shouted at the top of his lungs
Salte demonio!
While the others around spoke in tongues
Yo te reprendo!
With faith they screamed in the night
Vete de aqui!
In the warm and tropical heat
The room suddenly turned cold
It was a fight against damnation
Their miracle lyrical prayers prayed
A supplication for salvation ...

Oh, Man !
Some of the people i meet
Are so deeply depressed
And the rest of the street
Are so tightly stressed
Some habits i know
Dramatically reversed
From Omega to Alpha
A playback regressed
The morning becomes night
Sleeping starts at 7 . a.m
And the dark turns to light
Wasting health late in night clubs
'' Am i...

the fable of Jesus
The Fable of Jesus
Jesus was skeptical of his tribe, he didn't
whether he was a Semite, his father, the renowned
the wood craftsman had green eyes and knew
a few phrases of gallic monks had visited until
the Rome administration banned them
Jesus, to please his father, built a bookshelf, it was
It was so bad his younger brother had to take over
Jesus took umbrage and moved to Jerusalem, where
he hung out with radicals of his time
he was good at talking and soon became their leader
there are a few girls in Jesus's fellowship
