weep
I'm saddened with velvet feelings
soft and plush
just a little too cozy with me
intimate in the knowing
I'm in their embrace
down under the covers of cheerfulness
warm in the deception
comfy in the notion
but down deep I must confess melancholia
blues run into my soul and I weep
I wonder how many people smile
when they want to crumble?
the flower garden I paint is bright
but look close it is crying
lilting petals scribed with my truth
of hurt feelings

I've always wondered if folks mask their sadness by painting pretty pictures, but upon closer inspection you can actually feel the emotions.
Very lovely artwork here. I think your piece also speaks volumes, especially for those who are feeling down deal with depression. Those last two lines are very touching.

good evening dearest Wally usually my art is an indication to my feelings I thought this one was odd in its cheeriness but with another look I realized my flowers were crying...depression sucks but on a positive note it teaches me things about myself... while difficult to get through it makes me take a closer look... I really do cherish your thoughts so thank you very much 🌹

good morning dearest Poet thank you graciously besides writing I love to paint... paint is funny it seems to have a mind of its own sometimes I do my best to go where it leads...I will show more of my painting I just finished one with blue swirls I was told it appeared to have men's parts lol...I don't know but it wouldn't be the first time that emerged in one of mine...giggles...anyway have a beautiful day today ❤
