So many poems written in your name
All those words you'll never know
I keep them locked away
Along with the word I've never said
Like how I love you
And how you are the best thing in my world
Yet after so many days,
So many months, and so many years
These are words you haven't heard..

I'm dying to do tell you everything
Open my heart and show you everything,
The worst and the best parts of me
But I'm scared I'm not the one you need me to be,
I'm scared I'm not everything you need from me,
I'm afraid to fall short of the expectations laid here before me.

I think I tried
Yet I doubt it wasn't enough.
I reached out but I didn't reach that far enough
After one too many scars
I stopped betting with my heart
So if I should lose, my heart remain uncut

But you bring a different perspective to life
You found a way to melt my ice cold heart
Despite it all,
After so many moments
And so many smiles
After so many close shaves,
