Fuck me I've just written
a prayer
there's only one of two things to do now
become a monk
or write another one
could do a series really
prayers for all walks of life
prayer for God
prayer for Jesus
old hat
Virgin Mary
battered hat?
 
But prayers for nurses
prayers for weathergirls
that's something new
no-one's done it before
Now don't you go copy
my idea now
I mean
because if we all wound up
writing prayers
where would we be then
God might have to put
someone on hold
