Black Lives Do Matter
Kneeling in protest on the street
Curiosity caught her eye
She knelt close by with friends and kin
Did they think I was a spy?
I attempted to put her mind at ease
Looked over and said hello
She smiled and looked with deep brown eyes
She sparkled with a neon glow
That same night I kissed her lips
Chocolate tarts on a shining platter
Our flesh entangled became as one
God yes, black lives do matter!
Curiosity caught her eye
She knelt close by with friends and kin
Did they think I was a spy?
I attempted to put her mind at ease
Looked over and said hello
She smiled and looked with deep brown eyes
She sparkled with a neon glow
That same night I kissed her lips
Chocolate tarts on a shining platter
Our flesh entangled became as one
God yes, black lives do matter!
