what’s in a color..

what’s in a color..
sooty opaque muddy or dim,
or
iridescence harmonious or prismatic blend!

what’s in a color..
hatred, violence or a ruthless sin,
or
a coworker, a neighbor or a best friend,

what’s in a color..
yellow touch light of senseless manikins,
or
a brother, sister, father or mother no kin,

what’s in a color..
systemic domination to rule another clan,
or
prisms of light to include every man,

what’s in a color..
blue unformed knee against life’s throat,
or
PhD scrubs sustaining all of life’s hope,

what’s in a color..
red teen treated with no value or worth,
or
a newby equal at the time of its birth,

what’s in a color..
perpetrate a hate according to skin,
or
blended beauty of a family begins,

what’s in a color..
titled black in prosthetic mind’s eye,
or
no descriptions.. not even little white lies,

what’s in a color..
court rails run brown straight to the pen,
or
a way to stay out.. an a way to get in,

whatever is in a color
I’m sure we all have a clue,
it’s not about white men,
brown men, black man or Jew..
or
red man and yellow man,
they all have been screwed,

what’s in a color
is hidden in plane view,

a demented system from head to
gumshoe,
a reckless program for the soldiers in blue,

a technical order for not only a few..

what’s in a color..

prejudicial justice..

is not taught in art school..

Author's Note
Even though the fear is real..
I will not allow myself to be prejudice towards law enforcement, the establishment or a color of skin..
it’s the justice system!! It was not, still isn’t and never will be engineered around understanding!
.. it has morphed into a chokehold on the poor and uneducated.
