Gogyoshi Poem, Nr.02 — Suffer Not …

Wonderfully philosophical piece, Josh.  If we are to shine, we must suffer the burn.

Thank you, and for the RL. Sometimes I feel though the suffering is out of proportion to the (potential) gain - but perhaps this is because I do not see a big enough picture in which it all makes sense.

This is one of those where I read it a couple of times and get different messages at an intellectual level.
Josh,  you may need to hold lectures sometimes to have thorough discourses on thought provoking pieces.

At my age one begins to think of 'legacy' - and I have thought of 'lectures' in the past as one possibility - what does one leave for one's children and grandchildren in these turbulent days? What messages or understandings of comfort can one pass on? Poetry seems to stand the test of time, though 99% disappears off the radar of the future. Now if I could only leave one or two to inspire future generations ...   :))
