Life

The answers you seek reside within you;
endeavour to devour the truth.
Life sometimes is a subterfuge,
it blindfolds you from unwrapping your true purpose.
Its desire is not synced with what you aspire.

If you intend to gain,
you’ll have to go through pain;
nothing comes with ease in this arduous world.
The sun shines, but darkness dominates.
Your die-hard spirit is your only option to be on track.

Some begin well, and some begin badly,
but the end result rests in your palms.
No one said the road would be placid,
nor jolty; what you discover, is what you uncover.
If it stings, well, so be it; if it pats your shoulders,
then your battle is yet to be fought.

There’s no way you can escape
the torments of life.
It hungrily consumes everything in its path,
and if you are strong enough to withstand
it from digesting; you would be disgorged
from its belly and made to
walk freely once more.

Even though life may teach a lesson,
learn from your mistakes
and fight the good fight, with all thy might.
Your willingness to pacify your past
and rivet your attention to what lies onward;
is the only route to your freedom.

Be strong.
Be wise.
Remember your humble beginning,
and focus on the future’s gifting.
One day you too will tell your story,
to groom newbies for the journey.
