It was true then and still is now
Scar fading a bit
But the vigilance still there

I so appreciate your comments on my artwork.
I was a painter for many years and picked up writing in 2013.  It’s always pleasure when I can combine the 2.  I’m always searching for the perfect combination of black / white and grey.
This one comes pretty close but as any obsession goes I’ll keep working at it.  Your high cheekbones by the way are inspirational......

I feel like there are hints of colour in that monochrome.... I keep staring at it and thinking maybe it's my glasses, or my phone... or is it the art? Messing with my head - in a good way, of course. 🙂

It's quite remarkable. It's just the contrast of the grays, but it makes me see a rosy glow right in the middle.
No, I'm not wearing rose-colored glasses!
