Home for now. (Day 22)
Maybe its good that I ended up back at home,
maybe I can help keeps things calmish;
I'm no diplomat or councillor
but I am a son
so surely that counts for something
when Mum and Dad argue;
her finding an insult and personal attack
in certain words and phrases,
him not being clear or organised
letting some things slide a bit.
At least I can be someone else
they can talk to
and I mean really talk to
especially if the topic is something completely different
from the intense argument hours or days ago.
I learnt that Thomas Nagel believes life is absurd
and humour is the best way to cope with being human,
well I always thought life was a farce at times
and that it was better to laugh at it than cry
but I only found nihilism in my differences for a long time;
at least now I know
a laugh from oblivion
or something along those lines
is not just my sort of thought.
