Thank you, Atiemo! My process was a little different here than my usual. First, I created the visual, then I came up with a poem to go along with it. Usually, it's the opposite process, so I'm glad that you liked the result :)
I'm fairly new to the visual aspect of poetry, so I'm learning something new every time I create one of these! With that said, truly I appreciate the positive feedback, as I'm still rather unsure of myself; It means a lot!

crimsin,
You are very sweet showing me all of this support recently :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and relate...
This is something I have felt for quite some time now. It was only through isolation and introspective that I became more intact with my myself and my spirituality. People are such a big influence on us sometimes, and we don't even realize it. It's good to occasionally step away from the influence of others to find yourself again and become more in tune with the yourself and the Universe.
You know yourself better than anyone else ever will, and that innermost part of you that no one else can see. Your intentions, thoughts, feelings, etc - are between you and God (or the Universe) or whatever name you want to put on it. That is the journey within the self that I speak of as well!
I REALLY appreciate you, crimsin! Thanks for stopping by again <3

Yes, indeed. In the end, when you die - it was and IS your journey, and your journey alone. It is between you and God - if you so believe in one :)

Dear NB,
It is a great poem. It tells the reality itself when a person is honest with himself and the others. I like it very much.

Beauty in one whole package NB, apologies I use this description a tad too often but...it's truth or I wouldn't utter it.
I love the natural tone of the art of the background, really helps set in comfort.
Your scribe and self-out-pour is as giving as You always are.
Truths of the self can never lose, whether expressed to another or oneself ...I don't know, to me it simply gives humbly and right, whether harsh tones are expressed or the other ends of the spectrum.
A nice wake-up with this NB
Pen On!!!

Damn if this isn't pure truth. I think it's human nature of the worst kind, within us all, to measure our worth by that of others. Leave that thinking behind and watch the flower flourish in trodden soil!🌷I loved the flow and sentiment of it all, but oh so clever play on words with the (un)kind addition. 👌

I think it's kind of ingrained nature, really. It's the same reason wolves form packs, and the reason there are hierarchies, social cliques, etc. We just have this innate need to fit in... and if we aren't careful that need can lead us astray.
Thank you so much for that thoughtful comment, Pandora. I truly appreciate those kind words, and your understanding. I loved your analogy as well. Have a blessed day :)

Your beautiful musing is so mentally prolific, self-journey seen through mortal's eyes is always self-rewarding, words of truth brought forth from a quiet place, many have never tapped into, pieces of yourself you allow others to glimpse, yet, reserved for your own mental muse, which never defines what you do, but raises the intellect to ask is this who you are.

Re. A-lone Wolf
This one resonates with me a lot, I have bad anxiety socially and any time of day. I have my hubby fam who don’t like me because I have many mental illnesses and get judged daily. I find I’m always trying to please them and be what they want his wife to be and the more I try the more I suck at it. Doesn’t help they seen my lows and highs in manic. I sleep and I wake to only nightmares so I hate doing that. Then I make friends there always there to judge me behind my back. Now I just stay home I would rather be alone yet I’m sad that I am. So I made a point to help others instead with my writing which is mental health hoping no one has to deal with my problems. So I try to focus on helping others and getting myself out of isolation if i can with community although hasn’t worked yet lol

I’m not trying to do a pity either I don’t like that just saying I know how u feel and I love this poem

Joanna,
First, let me say... please don't ever feel like you can't say how you feel in my poem comments. That is part of the reason I share these poems with people, for them to be able to relate, and to share my experiences and beliefs. It makes me happy when someone like you, and others, take the time to pour their heart out into a comment like you just did. It really shows that you understand and feel what I was feeling and trying to express here.
I know what it's like to deal with mental illness and social anxiety. You are doing good :) All we can do is try to be a light in the world... some of us have it harder than others, but we are all in this together, as alone as we feel sometimes. Thanks again for taking the time to leave that thoughtful comment... and I hope your situation improves!

I loved the Sheep metaphor. As it serves as a reference to the wolf in sheeps clothing. How it serves as deception to the world but in this case it serves as one not being their true self. Choosing too be amongst sheep when in actuality one is a wolf. Like an eagle amongst chicken.
However a lone wolf can also be an alpha of a new pack
