Oh yes I absolutely understand, my friend.  It was nice to take an early drawing of mine and add the verse to turn it into visual poetry... after the passage of half a lifetime.

I wish I had all of my old collection of artwork from back then... more of my collections.  Newer pieces, mostly my Mouseworks, are scattered throughout my DU gallery. I did recently locate a binder of various small pencil sketches from years ago that I might work a few into new short poetry in the very near future.

I was into horses when i was young, I had toy model ones with a wooden stable that was dollhouse sized, I loved coloring books too.
I love the drawing, it's so vibrant with the bold lettering :)

What a mesmerizing description to share, sister PR, from your youth.  So much reminding me of years ago.  Gosh, the times I’d spend lying on my twin bed or on the carpet in the family den, with my box of 64 Crayola crayons and a pile of coloring books!  It sounds like you had your own miniature world with horses...

Notice how those of us into fantasies as kids became writers... poets, in particular?
