Love's Anchor.....
As grey skies tumble and spill forth into the calming blue,
your love washes over me with warm waves of respite.
Cleansed of many doubts,
my mind and soul is salvaged from a sea of inner turmoil.
Taming tempest tides of defeat,
you keep me bravely anchored upon bright shores of hope.

Dear P,
How lovely and warm your words feel. “Cleansed of many doubts,
my mind and soul is salvaged from a sea of inner turmoil. ” there is no greater gift when someone helps us feel that peace and calm when we have stirred up that inner frenzy of self doubt. I very much admire the sensitivity of this piece and its positive and soothing message. H🌷

You don't know how glad I am to see you here, to know you're still trying. You have a gift for poetry though; brevity and measure etc. Keep pushing to be yourself that is the only way to be happy writing. Thank you for your sweetness and once I catch a break, I'll be your way! 🌷🌼
Re. Love's Anchor.....
Dear Pandy, this is a masterpiece filled with romantic elements that I yearn for. This passage is so peaceful and describes for me paradise, salvation from the exhaustion of an unsettled mind, "your love washes over me with warm waves of respite.
Cleansed of many doubts,
my mind and soul is salvaged from a sea of inner turmoil." Bravisima! 🙏💜
I love the image as well 💕

Your poem connotates for me a woman whose sailor returns to fulfill his promise made long ago of taking her hand in the bond of love. She waited by the windswept cliffs until her heart could take no more and then he appears like an apparition but oh so real.

This is gorgeous and touching, Pandy. Such beautiful words and gorgeous imagery - and you've expressed yourself so concisely here. From the contrast from grey to blue in the beginning, to the ocean theme ("waves of respite", "wash over", "sea of turmoil, "anchor", "shores of hopre"), combined with that sweet and hopeful ending, you've got yourself a great poem! <3
It's amazing how something can have such an impact on a person.
I'm glad you've found someone to keep you anchored and happy in your love-boat :)
By the way, there is a visual poetry competition for hope this month... you should really consider entering this if it is under 50 words. It would win... maybe ;)
