No turning back
Shouldn't regret or be grieving
just yet,
better cherish and be seeing
what's right in front of you
here and now,
can't rewind time
other than in your mind
but out here in the physical paradox
everything keeps progressing,
no turning back
as you backtrack in your head
wishing for more time to say
what should be said,
do what should be done
but from the present moment
you continue to run
thinking you'll escape it
but you have to face up to it.
Make amends with the fact that
you've made many mistakes
which you can't take back,
must move past them
last long enough to
recognize the lesson
and learn from
the failures
and the feeling of being a failure
which follows, fills and overflows.
You can change yourself
and your ways,
mind is malleable
and you're fully fallible as a human
so forget perfection,
soul is sculpted by
inner impromptu conversations,
interactions with the infinite
and overall sense of self, surrounding space and divinity
