Yes, fatigue is awesome for poetry!.... but only because it throws me into a pit of despair. Maybe if poetry was a viable way of supporting myself, I could make that sacrifice...

It does the same to me and like you I can't support a family on my verse. Written as I wait for the late bus downtown. 😉 Do you ever write while up a tree, telling the readers all you can see? Sorry slipped into Seussville 😁 Better than the second question that came to mind...do you a very write while taking a pee? Eww!! 🙃

I compose all day, I swear that I do;
Putting pen to paper is the part I don't do!

Yes, on those nights I usually forego the sleep. Sometimes I hardly remember what I wrote in the morning.
"Self care" makes me rather irritable. The fact that I need sleep is a limit I don't appreciate!
