Library
I notice
your gaze
fall upon
lettered scars
as you draw nearer
praying silently
PLEASE!
yanking me out of
solidarity
WHOA!
cracking open
worn spine
OW!
thumbing over
tender edges
FUCK!
violating words
with greedy eyes
NO!
upside down
greasy hands
stroking my back
STOP!
ripping off the
very wings
exposing bare covers
I BEG YOU!
dumping me
naked
on the floor
DON’T LEAVE ME!
“Not my type.”
I hear as you walk away
at the library
unkept
returned
and used
at some point

Something on loan (our hearts), used by the others (their pleasures)., then returned without a thought (the morning after). Excellent write LG. Probably not the poems intent, however, that's what it said to me.

Thank you, darling.
Perhaps the man I wrote it for will someday appreciate me as a recognizable, unique poetess too.
A poetess worthy of revered study..
And explore all of my pages.. even those yet to be written down.
But who in the hell knows?
Yours,
LostGirl
P.S. Could you loan me that flashlight? (;

Re. Library
I concur with assessments already made, especially by Ethan and HF. The format of the write translates it's frenetic energy well, metaphors are clear and creative. Paints a thrilling portrait on the whole. Well penned.

Dearest, Daniel. (:
I’m glad you found your way to my poem because I am always flattered to have captured any of your time.
Thrilling ..frenetic...it’s written all over the pages of (my) untold story.
I’m so humbled you’ve taken an interest in reading me.

You're most welcome sugah. We've a great big hurricane bearing down on us, so I will likely be out of touch a while, until power is restored. Seems like it's every year of late. I'll look forward to reading you again when able.

Re. Library
Hullo
I've read this a couple of times so I could say something constructive. more I read the more apparent it becomes you've got it covered. that's to say, reads very well
wasn't sold on the bold lettered words at first but they do give something to the narrative and in fairness read on their own give something as well
I liked the whole concept of the library book and it's thoughts, thought it was clever
Good stuff, lady *hat tip*

I like this personification of a library book, it's very relatable to readers (both kinds). I've always thought library books had a symbolism, their stories live on (both kinds) :)

Beautiful and odd is the best compliment I’ve gotten in a while. You’ve made my day.
You do set the bar high, lovely. Your poems are very unique themselves and a treasure to read.

Really like the way you word the poem. The bold type brings out the feelings just perfect. I had written one about a Library as well although
quite a bit different. A pleasure to read your words.
