Unrequited Dreams
Imagination was his way of figuring out a structure
Every inch was managed under a mindful constructer
He put his preferences carefully into place
Utilized experience to keep her secrets safe
Opened the plans to give some floor space
Creating a safe haven to privately see her face
Now that the specs were done and sufficiently handled
Personal touch lit in every quarter, a bright candle
Confused as to what she'd want to put in her room
Or around the house, his theories showed what to assume
Humming to himself, he tried so many different syles
Decorating till the hour hand had sprinted 'round for miles
By the time he finished, he had built a brooding tower
Filled with infinite stories, theories, daydreams, sex, and power
He smiled to himself as this structure was irrefutable proof
Somewhere in those bricks lay a hidden, indisputable truth
She could run all she wanted, but one room would shed light
There were hundreds, but he felt the first one would be right
It is the one he put the most of his thought in
Poured into its blueprints, had amenities brought in
Every silk she'd spun was hung and taken into account
He weeded out bad strings to maximize the thread counts
All that was needed was the smell of food and some slow music
So he could keep this place hidden where he could never lose it.
