I promised to protect you
Your guardian angel
Against any enemy
Would stand before you
Promised to be
Securing any place
keeping you safe
Shelter, to hide for the rest of the world.
Carrying over every threshold
Hidden for whatever might come
I would handle the blows, be your shield.
A soldier fighting your fights
Regardless which battle field
Or when I have to invent weapons.
Fight with what life had given me.
I promised to protect you
But failed.
Cause...
Nothing could protect me
against the new love,
walking into your life.
Now my heart is torn,
standing on my own
Have to fight my own fights
without you by my side.
Cries..
I am so sorry heart, for I failed you
This massive pain almost unbearable ..
I can no longer be what I should have been
My own soldier
Ruined
Couldn't foresee this last blow
I am so sorry....

Oh yes, the old everlasting pain. I hate that sick feeling, seems though since your pain is so deep seated, you could be a bit more expressive of the pain you suffer, really, seriously let it out. Go the a thesaurus to look for words to replace less expressive ones. I feel ya.

Maybe that will happen. Who knows. Sometimes you think your role is to protect the other, when finding out that the only one you should have protected, is you. That hurts. We learn to deal with it..Thanks for your comment.
