Blind Man's Dance

He goes though the motions
Imitates the steps
Follows the leaders
Can't feel the beat

He watches where to take his steps
Carefully, carefully
Step to the left
Blind as can be

He tries to seem well accomplished
Showing off his feats
Appears to be deaf
Steps on feet

He wants to dance like the others
Soft and sweet
Doesn't have a clue
What it means

He isn't really blind as the word implys
Just oblivious is all
To how the rest get by
Feels defeat

He is too afraid to make his own moves
Worries about them
And what they do
Can't be free

He shuffles along without the songs
Just noise to him
If he could ever hear it
Maybe he could see
