I Am Lost
I am lost
Drowning
In this sea of pain
You left me
Unable to swim
In this deep ocean
Of loneliness
I can't stop these tears
From falling
I am lost in this torrent
Of pain that gripped me in its claw
Was it worth this pain?
Why? Why does my heart so raw?
Why is this heart so vulnerable?
Why can't it learn to be hard and protect itself?
Foolish heart of mine
So pitiful, always left to bleed
When all it wants is just to love.

Growing can be very painful, it begs many questions we can't answer. All roads of evolution lead to the same destination within us, and we come to realize that everything we have experienced was by our own choosing so that we could grow evolve, and taste all things in human form: love, and pain.
