Lost Embrace
fleeting paths of resistance
have stood guard for far too long
be held tonight
inside
the coffers of my weave
gently peel back the lesions
bade down upon my need
enter my lair
and entangle in me
let loose your ribbons
to the sea
crest each wave
with fortitude
encased in a lost embrace

The lonely beast in his lair....poor creature.....reminds me of the movie "Shape of water"

The movie isn't as good as I expected but still an entertaining watch with some cool imagery and some laughs too. A bit overrated in my opinion, which doesn't realate to your poem though. I just had the images pop in my mind when I read your piece.
