Truth is I'm a loner
When everyone is there
I want to be here
Holiday weekends are the best
I always wonder where everyone goes
Memorial Day I went to visit my sister
One of the few times I traveled with the masses
Traffic sucked, not doing that again
I love the empty city vibe
Walking the side streets
Studying architecture
Having a beer in a near empty bar

I live in a litlle mexican drinking village with a fishing problem. In Summer it morphs from not much, to nothing at all going on. It is deadly, not even considering the heat and humidity.....
I can see though, how New York would just be perfect in summer....just the right amount of everything. Nice change in pace and a break from overstimulation.

It's often hot as hell here in the summer with high humidity and a lot of crazy people wandering around glassy eyed. It's romantic in a midnight cowboy kind of way ....
Yeah, like San Francisco, just warmer...know what you are talking about...like a scene from "Taxi Driver"

I've always been fascinated by emptied out busy places. It's eerie and peaceful at the same time. You notice details more without all the distraction. Enjoy your quieter streets! :-)
