Refugees
Refugees
The poorest of the poor
Homeless
Seeking refuge from violence
Out of the frying pan and into the fire
The unthinkable
Criminalization Deportation
Families separated
Children taken away and lost
Evil is as evil does
The Horror!

The fear, the hopelessness and terror is horrific. It is a tragedy of the human race. And described perfectly as evil. Great write.

I agree , well penned , BabaJava ;
I just wrote about this yesterday , posted here ,
yet I am no where near as "nice" about it...
We are probably somewhere around the same age ,
but I grew up in the California San Francisco Bay Area...
We were never known as "nice" or "calm" in our outcry
and rebellion !
I will be looking at some of your other work...;)

Noyo River now...
Thought you looked familiar ;
Did you have work at Zacha's Art Center ?
( I lived on Sabina's Land on Navarro Ridge in Albion 1974 ,
used to go to feasts at the Old Schoolhouse by the bridge )

I lived and worked at the Art Center in Mendocino. Lived in Albion, had a studio across from the store in Little River. Met many wonderful people and some others.
Magical place for sure back then. The hardest part was the poverty.

I know that place ;
They turned that studio into a small real estate office...
And , I am pretty sure I saw you in Albion...
Remember the Albion store ?
When Doug's mother still ran it ?
Doug inherited it...just sold it 6 months ago , after it was
in family forever...
My friend owned Salmon Point Restaurant there...
You must know a lot of the old crowd , I knew / know ;
Remember Captain Fathom ?
Believe it or not...he is still alive !
( Spring Grove / Bo's Land )
