"my misapplications"- rings out and is very relatable
in between the olive sprigs and pine tree peaceful walks
on jade tile stepping stones
green growing moss
and a mind marking a bread crumb trail to find it's way back
erode
decay
as backyards once serene turn into punctual concrete parking lots
mimic and mocking from the shade
undertones of teal
from a crystal clear fake bottomed wells of my childhood dreams
twenty dollar bills on fishing line
dragged
reeled in
just out of reach
why should we ever let daydreams darken in our eyes
morning minds mark the freedom of future thoughts picnics
and garden mirrors build the depth in the day we so very dearly seek
Intercession and my self worth often sleeps in
pulling over covers above heads and high water

fantastic thought provoking piece to wrap my mind around this morning. i want to quit my day job and become a garden builder/landscaper lol. i'll settle for a weekend in a water garden with Nymphaeaceae (lilly pads).
