There are places you haven't been
in this sea of things
deserted islands full of forgotten dreams
you intentionally forgotten
Do you remember? The places within
where you had your first kiss
where you bruised your knees
where you won/lost/cried/laughed
or played outdoors under naked sky, rains
Talk about those moments you invested
a day at the beach with your dad
a walk in the park with moms
or the park bench you read the first chapter of some mediocre book
the love note he/she wrote, for you to deliver
We forget, so that the remembering will feel like new
they are phantom limbs now, when they should be purged
with the rest of life's browser history cache
yet they still remain to be forgotten and remembered
