Fake It Til You Make It

He lives in my poetry, funny as it may seem
He is tall but gentle, kind and true
Dominance shines like a light beam.

He is a lover
He shows me that I am worthy and valued
His arms are warm as they wrap around me and cover.

For in my life, I have to fake it, til I make it
But in my dreams I am the princess
He treats me with kindness, so full of intellect.

Crazy as it may seem, in truth
I enjoy my dreams a whole lot more
My Prince will  always love me, even when I am not in my youth.

I have to fake it, til I make it your  absence, your love gone
Our visits, our love making so strong
My heart is crying because I miss you, that we are done.

He will love me, console me
Stay with me while I cry
And you will remember my mouth and my body.

As you walk away from a good woman
I will fake it, til I make it
Because I am the winner, I have strength and power that comes with being a good human.
