How to Negate the Power of Sexual Thoughts to Enthrall You

The thought of the pain that Christ felt on the cross equals a resource available  
for the overcoming of sexual fantasizing  that bogs people down, including me.  
"By His stripes we are healed" and by (our focussing on) His pain  
we are freed from the allure of sexual imagination.  
How can I ignore that excruciating pain
when Christ experienced it on my behalf??!!  
   
"There's power in the blood," the hymn says.  
Not so much in the blood as in the SHEDDING OF IT.  
And in the pain that accompanied that bloodshed.  
There's miracle-working power in  the ..pain.  
 
It's natural to fight fire with water. of course.  
but its also true of blood.  
Yes, we are to fight the fire of sexual passion  
with the outpouring of Jesus's blood.
