Family is always with us and your Ginger is family. When "one day" comes, Ginger will let you know it's time. Don't let others push you. Right now Ginger is still with you. Throwing a barrage of hugs into the atmosphere for you.

We all need that mourning period to honor the memory of Love ( too easily replaced by many ).

She would've given it to you too. One day you will honor her presence perhaps with a rescue dog who needs a home to Survive.

But for now your heart needs to heal.

One day indeed, will foster one and see if it's the right fit Dogs love me, grateful for that ....

the thing is no dog would ever be able to replace ginger, because they're not ginger. You will always have pictures and memories and at some point you will be able to appreciate them and smile with sadness. I still think you should get a new dog at some point when you are ready :-)
