A Swallow
Swim within my blood
Little white
Flood my mind with numb
Lynch unhappiness
On raindrops falling
To the dungeon of nothing
Little deaths are splendor
One a day, two a day
How many can I swallow?
Doctor, doctor I am hungry
And for what shall I suffer?
A bottle, just one?
Believe me, I am insatiable
I am willing but utterly unable.

I was thinking about how dark/black seems to be a popular notion in 'dissolving' into oblivion to numb the pain when white/blank is more close to reality and truth. You painted the imagery pretty well, only the ones who have been there will identify with this poem.
On personal note, don't ever feel you're alone, you can message me anytime.

Yes I've noticed that as well. I suppose I had always imagined it as black, but it is a white blankness.
I appreciate your kind words, Vee.
And as a friend I thank you.

I'm glad the white of paper (or screen) is more appealing to write about than the over-experience of the other.

Very talented potential, you brought the feeling of what it's like to abuse drugs within this.
The last few lines are also very touching.
Keep up the good work.
