a life missed to much

Even the sunlight was cautious  about shining over him
Could it be the reason as to why he cast no shadow
Everything he touched he broken
Every step he took made impressions in the ground below

Love became a memory
A man waged a war upon himself
Tired broken and under attack
Left to gather dust on life's shelf

Even nature kept many paces away
Fear he had the slip side to the midas touch
Felt as though even flys would keep away from his rotting carcass
Hung onto a life he missed to much
