Balls to the Wall
I watch you
running into walls
you have no wish
to climb or
raze
and wonder
what it is
you're trying to free
or break
which will give first
and what it'll take

Watching those we care about struggle without interference can be frustrating, but part of their evolutionary process.

Lol, I'm a meddler, it's a bad habit I've been working on breaking, some days are less successful than others... People only hear what they want/are ready to hear and most of us are perpetually unprepared for criticism, no matter how constructive it might be.

It's a song by Railroad Earth. One of my favorites, actually. Have a listen if you're so inclined.

How frustrating for you. You want to help this person but they are beyond reach in that way.

No one is beyond reach, but it is hard to watch people run at brick walls they haven't noticed they can walk around.
