listen to the voice
deep within your soul
the one that is mine
telling you truth
my luv used to be
with another this is true
now giving myself to you
but you don't believe
past haunts me
each and everyday
cause I'm struggling to heal
from its grieving pain
how can I escape yesterday
thru today's disappointments
when tomorrow's dreams
feel so hopelessly doomed
always thought that luv
would guide me
to a place of tranquility
not torment and fears
stumbling where I know
neither of us want to be
but insecurities chain our
hearts to endless devastation
you say....."I luv you" then
foolish angry words and actions
that intently hurt me
contradicts your sincerity
just how far am I to go
beyond giving you
all my heart and soul
before I'm not me any more

I've tried to understand
where I truly belong with you
but jealousy blurs our future

You betcha that green-eyed devil jealousy makes it
very difficult to maintain a relationship with another.
When a man is jealous it only proves he is immature.
I know this for a fact, because I have been that man
with a jealous nature. I am no longer. A relationship
with a jealous partner is a relationship that will not
last and causes much pain.

Hey SG......yep jealousy never works when it is controlling and devastating to another soul.......I've been treated like this at one time and I destroyed me for a time.......I'm glad you're over being this man......from what I know of you you're a sweet caring soul.......thank you for sharing a personal side of you......purple luv & hugs xo :)

So glad you say it's not your own future Flower! This friend is a dear but possibly too generous, too giving, until she has nothing left. It's a tough call how much to keep in reserve. If the patience and luv are not equally reciprocated it's time to move on. A dark and very well written look down the road from a very sweet traveler.

speak their frustrations
to barbers and flower sellers
some guys only want to ease
in the comfy of her valley
some are afraid
she will compare
so take care of jealousy
be aware
and
if you know of the malady
he is jealous...
certainly make an allowance for it
then you will be happy
and down the long straight path
of the road you see ahead
you will travel
but not all alone
speak their frustrations
to barbers and flower sellers
some guys only want to ease
in the comfy of her valley

she will compare
