-to the fallen queen-
Slowly,
I'm breaking away from the hold you once had on my life.
Brick by brick
Im building my wall back up.
You loved to talk Down to me
Day after day.
I couldn't run away.
You made me feel like I had no where to run to.
My body is MY kingdom,
Today I take it back from under your rule.
Its about time I knocked you off that pedestal,
Because goddess knows you've been up there too long.
You tell me you want to be with me,
At least until you find someone better.
Anything I say is "unoriginal"
Or, at least in your eyes.
So please. Tell me princess
Why is it okay for you to make me cry?
Why is it okay to tell me I'm a lesser being in your eyes.
I've had it with you.
I've traded you for a lover who's true.
Pale skin, soft brown hair, with beautiful brown eyes.
She shows me I don't have to hide.
She has a lovely voice,
With a body to match.
She's my princess, my queen, my goddess, my lover.
And I'll never let her go.
I'm breaking away from the hold you once had on my life.
