A light wrapped in dark cloth. Smothered. Will I extinguishe? I surely will not flourish. But I will grow roots. Roots that dig into the darkness. As they grab hold it pulls me closer. Abyss. Close your eyes & look into the light, follow those swirls. Fractions of fiction as your truth never really unfolds. The sockets swoll with eyes upon us that are not our own. Demons of Jiminy cricket snicker. Laughter of a lunatic lingers like an old record playing the last song of silent static skipping across the hearts needle like grooves of your life  etched in concrete.  doomed to play, to repeat, to repeat... the mistakes I could not fix, my foot was not fleet as I slipped across your icy path like a cartoon character running to fast. A charlie brown fail, Lucy, fuck your football I'm on my back again, helpless the sky mocks me. Blue upon blue. Seems endless. Seems. Maybe your not mocking me but calling me. Telling me today will be clear, tomorrows forecast foggy , it seems rain may be near. Ever changing patterns,  predictions. Unknown abundance of wealth or fear. Shocked by lightning,  calmed by thunder, the sun not but a teardrop glistening in the eye of the storm. Yet its still a light in the darkness. Even with your eyes closed the dark has light, grey as it might be.
