Pre-apocalypse
Shattered buildings
And ruptured earth
A blood red sky
And a new set of wings
This is the wake of what I had to do
This is the world that couldn’t go on
Bad foundations litter every skyscraper
It was all built wrong
On false pretences and lies
So I took it apar
tBrick by brick
Until the planet was nothing
And I could start over
It looks bad now
As all you can see is rubble
This is going to be something new
Something great
Built on everything but corruption
But as man and his kind rebuild
A small tower of old rises
Houses sprout and an opinion is formed
These are the dangers to a world already broken down
A pre-apocalyptic tempting of fate
Risen after the end of the world
From before
In this the new world order
The old cannot be built once again
Because the only good that came from then
Was an apocalypse
And ruptured earth
A blood red sky
And a new set of wings
This is the wake of what I had to do
This is the world that couldn’t go on
Bad foundations litter every skyscraper
It was all built wrong
On false pretences and lies
So I took it apar
tBrick by brick
Until the planet was nothing
And I could start over
It looks bad now
As all you can see is rubble
This is going to be something new
Something great
Built on everything but corruption
But as man and his kind rebuild
A small tower of old rises

These are the dangers to a world already broken down

Because the only good that came from then
Was an apocalypse
