The Sorrowful Beauty
She sits in her corner with tears running down her face.
Looking back at the past with so much hate.
She turns to a bottle for comfort, which is her first mistake.
She is beautiful on the out and has a smile that makes everyones day.
But she is crying on the inside,
Not thinking a change in her life could be her only way.
She wears her emotions, like a magician with tricks up his sleeve.
But hides her pain with strength, feeling it might make her look weak.
Yes, she can be complicated, just like me or you,
And may try to act all tough to hide the hurt from the fact that she is crushed.
But, I hope when then time comes she'll finally realize enough is enough.

Writer's note: acts to act.
The story is one I've witnessed on one level or another with many woman in my family including my mother.
Your last line ... Enough is enough is a bit confusing - Is she tired of her self abuse or the abuse of others? ... Both?
Also consider writing pieces like this in the first person - that's the great thing about writing - you can become anyone! .... Man - woman - angel or beast. A story like this is always more interesting in the voice of the character.

The reason I wrote this in third person was because I was writing this to someone I know, to let her know that I have been noticing that she is going through something and that hope she'll come to me before her problems get out of hand.
And the line "enough is enough" I was hoping that she would realize that her action dealing with her problems isn't the right way
