To be Thankful...

 
...for what little one may have
though it may not be much
very thankful for the power
and light of God's touch

sustained by the knowledge
of others by far...worse off
one needs to be thankful,
and should not scoff

for whatever amount of love
has come to pass, cry out
thank you, for however long
it may last

thankful for the comfort
of family,  and friends
in happy times we'd never
want to end

giving thanks for sustenance
of life, like  a belly fortified oft'
by way of another's sacrifice

so thankful for the simplest
of things, though simple
is subjective in context
upon reflect of what meanings
this day  of 'giving' brings...
