*Heart and Soul

Excellent poem that I can relate to on a personal level. Chasing ones soul mate across the arches of time and space to one day feel each others embrace. The feelings within that each heart possesses become beacons of hope for each others caresses... jj

Thats why we never meet them and why our relationships never worked cos its not with the right person. I know that sounds corny, but still. Who knows. Romantics. heh.

I've never really found a soul mate.  I guess everyone has an ideal, and maybe finds someone who's close enough.  There have been so many times I've seen somebody who looks like perfection, and they might look back and smile.  But then circumstance cuts in and off they go.
I'm still looking.  Beautiful lines.

Once I saw two very old couple laughing together while eating fruits, the love in their eyes was so apparent. Recently I saw a young man looking adoringly at his older wife. They found perfection. Were they soulmates? Reaching towards one another at certain time and places? I hope they were. Maybe you will find yours, Crowfly, someday. Thanks:) for reading and commenting.

I am still searching for my soul's mate, so I can totally relate to this beautiful, moving, and inspiring poem of yours Grace! I knew her so many times, in so many lives. I even remember so many of her names... Lilith, Dahut, Marie, Marina, Alexandia. Just some of them. I wonder sometimes what her name will be when we meet next... and it is a humbling thought because in the cycles of time and the vastness of the Multiverse there is so much that can change even in ourselves. But love never truly changes, it remains constant in its' fire and intensity. One day, I hope I will be able to hold my soul's mate in my arms and let the fire of my love free in a single kiss. Some call me a hopeless romantic for my notions, but it is simply how I am, and I could never be otherwise.
