ROADSIDE DOLL IN THE MIRROR
This was inspired by John Feddeler's poem 'Roadside Doll' and the accompanying painting illustration showing a woman undressing in front of a mirror.
A sight none other did witness,
I watched her in the glass undress
Gently to her smooth nakedness
(Contrast my hairy ruggedness),
Which so aroused my manliness
Before we’d exchanged a caress
And I’d tasted her lips’ sweetness.
I’d had my fill of war’s excess,
My dose of post-traumatic stress;
Now I craved loving tenderness.
My angel of warmth and kindness,
The blonde, now off-duty, waitress,
To proposition had said yes,
To cure my room of loneliness.
With consensual willingness
She gave herself, mine to possess,
In limb-tangled togetherness.
Our one night of unitedness
Worked up to sweaty stickiness,
Before satisfied weariness
Brought deep-sleeping contentedness.
A sight none other did witness,
I watched her in the glass undress
Gently to her smooth nakedness
(Contrast my hairy ruggedness),
Which so aroused my manliness
Before we’d exchanged a caress
And I’d tasted her lips’ sweetness.
I’d had my fill of war’s excess,
My dose of post-traumatic stress;
Now I craved loving tenderness.
My angel of warmth and kindness,
The blonde, now off-duty, waitress,
To proposition had said yes,
To cure my room of loneliness.
With consensual willingness
She gave herself, mine to possess,
In limb-tangled togetherness.
Our one night of unitedness
Worked up to sweaty stickiness,
Before satisfied weariness
Brought deep-sleeping contentedness.
