ODE TO CHRISTINE KEELER AND THE PROFUMO SCANDAL - II

Another poem inspired by the famous nude 'Scandal' photo of her by Tom Morley.  The first one was published in this section on 22nd May 2013.

I like to take a loving look
At the photo Tom Morley took,
At height of the Profumo affair,
Of you, in nothing but a chair
Its back sufficiently wide
For more strategic bits to hide.

You show the form that turned John’s head
And drew him strongly into bed.
It was his Italian blood
Reacting to you in the nudd
On day you took that skinny dip
As weekend guest of a Lordship.

Wearing an enigmatic smile
That might resist probing trial,
Looking radiant without kit,
I ask ‘Were you enjoying it,
Having a good time in bed
With army’s political head?’
