Sacred Earth
From the mighty mountain to the delicate flower,
Enjoy the morning mist, the evening showers,
Where earth kisses the eternal sky,
That’s where I’ll be before I die,
Empty your thoughts into the lake,
Before this paradise is theirs to take,
Hold a stone within your grasp,
Something real to have at last,
Grip it till your knuckles are white,
Hold it up into the light,
Study the patterns, memorize the design,
Treasure it in your heart, before this earth resigns,
What kind of evil would steal this sacred earth,
It’s something of value, something of worth,
We must fight to keep it in nature’s hands,
This is our sacred earth, no one can command,
Enjoy the morning mist, the evening showers,
Where earth kisses the eternal sky,
That’s where I’ll be before I die,
Empty your thoughts into the lake,
Before this paradise is theirs to take,
Hold a stone within your grasp,
Something real to have at last,
Grip it till your knuckles are white,
Hold it up into the light,
Study the patterns, memorize the design,
Treasure it in your heart, before this earth resigns,
What kind of evil would steal this sacred earth,
It’s something of value, something of worth,
We must fight to keep it in nature’s hands,
This is our sacred earth, no one can command,
