To One Too Alone - Two Alone Too Bad
Why didn't you tell me
You had feelings deep within your heart?
Hoping I would ask you
To hook up and never fall apart
I would have jumped right in
I would have loved to sink and swim
I would have given you anything
And shared your every sin
Why didn't you tell me
You allowed me in your broken mind?
Hoping I would fix it
And glue each cracked shell fragment into place
I could not see it in your eyes
I could not imagine to realize
I never heard it in your soft blue voice
I never knew I was your only choice
And never got to see your smile
Why didn't you tell me?
You wanted me to take the task
To bare your burdens and be the cask
For all the shattered dreams and broken promises
And the smiles you wore behind your frowning mask
Cos it's just cooler to express unfeeling grimaces
Than to let me see a face that wasn't made of wax
Too late I see with clarity the question I must ask
Why didn't I tell you?
You had feelings deep within your heart?
Hoping I would ask you
To hook up and never fall apart
I would have jumped right in
I would have loved to sink and swim
I would have given you anything
And shared your every sin
Why didn't you tell me
You allowed me in your broken mind?
Hoping I would fix it
And glue each cracked shell fragment into place
I could not see it in your eyes
I could not imagine to realize
I never heard it in your soft blue voice
I never knew I was your only choice
And never got to see your smile
Why didn't you tell me?
You wanted me to take the task
To bare your burdens and be the cask
For all the shattered dreams and broken promises
And the smiles you wore behind your frowning mask
Cos it's just cooler to express unfeeling grimaces
Than to let me see a face that wasn't made of wax
Too late I see with clarity the question I must ask
Why didn't I tell you?
