What Point?
The little heads
lay sleeping
in my bed
(half a snore each)
they tend to do that
when these crazy
cold viruses
hit them
sideways
They bring them
home from school
School is a hot topic
slouching in the top of
my limited intellect
and I love the
half snore
I can sit here
spraying my thoughts
on leaves in
color; freely
I can hear
they are innocuous
Damn lucky we are
that they are
healthy; Things in the
hometown are rough
the children are targeted
[It's in these times
that the co-habitat
agreements, foolish
parents make
are hard laws to follow]
Much like the future
I see imminent
Surfing at me
on a crest
that will
take it through
a "mutha ofa tunnel"
Yes there is a new man
yes I am adult enough to
treat him with respect
yes I can step down
for the sake of the
half snores
lying in my bed
No it's not okay
for my pocket
to be dictated
by an outsider
or decisions to be made
without my consult
Be wary
Know this
If a half snore
stops for longer than
a milli-second
there won't be time
to find
that
Gun.
