When someone has consumed
inexhaustible amounts of alcohol
the memories get completely
convoluted

people, places, things
get mixed around as
much as alcohol in a
shaker bottle

even though once poured
everything looks as smooth
as silk glistening around those
beautiful tinkling globes of ice

nothing that you remember
or maybe even thought you knew
