when we ended our beginnings
to create something that was never there

Green Bay
Who is to say that our souls do not bleed?
Holding back tears like we were taught
Will we ever shed all the crystal beads?
Before we sit in our own withered rot
But if I was to lie in my dismay
Cherried pools of pit insecurity
You'd always carry me down to Green Bay
And accept all of my impurity
How long can I dance in your acid rain?
Bring forth provision; long I've to await
Interlock hands and I'll tangle our veins
Can I assume that this could be our fate?
Feeling each...

a letter to Selene
Dear Selene,
hold the night
and hold it tight
for so i've chased for too long
now at own knees
begging for perpetual darkness
so i can stop hiding from my own shadow
and turn as grey and beautiful as you
long enough i've sought to see
a ceaseless night
but the earth spun
and the sun illuminated once again
receiving all the love
that the moon never had
Alectrona's on her high horse
a rigged resource
a dense godhead
that couldn't bare the role
of shaping...

Midnight River
a luminescent glow falls from the moon
peaking through translucent sky
reflecting off of the glimmering stream
reaching down and gliding pebbles
almost skipping with them
moss tickles her soles
an emerald fern
transparent cloth drapes over her bare flesh
soon wrapping her thighs and ascending her torso
sealing her chest with fabric
as she steps into the midnight river
a quiet soul
who breaths of clouds ...

a sight of pure abysmal
a spoon of Pepto-Bismol
my head is spinning
my eyes are bleeding
i wonder why
we forsake our teaching
our sinful acts
consumed by god
so how come he
remain a fraud
he's pure with life
from up above
but send us down
to empty bouts
although we sinned
from heart within
he forgives
until my end

Sweet Decay
my bud has bloomed
my flower has blossomed
into something
rather quite solemn.
'neath the soil
creates much turmoil
a breed of weeds
with desperate needs.
they bend to lend
and grow from woe
to die for life
to die for foe.
this covers their tracks
and covers their home
but 'neath it all
they're their own hoe.
my stem is wrapped
my leaves are torn
piece by piece
...

Listening to peas grow
a serendipitous pod
of green winter snow
with a message from God
in the furrows
of a golden rod

through about a thousand rewinds

the cracks of the fire pop throughout my ears
mixed with orange citrus,
your scent of cinnamon spice puts me in a trance
i'm in a field of oats and daisies
occasional breezes blow through my knitted sweater

the love we exchange
could never balance
your love appears artificial
compared to mine
a quart of sweetener
an ounce of sugar cane
your love tastes artificial
but it dances on my tongue
pepto-bismol beverage disposes of my heart aches
that fall to my stomach
your love is artificial
but that'll never get through my skull
i'll eat your love
and rummage for more
it's all that i could adore
