Love At First Sight
You know what love at first sight means?
I tried to forget this feeling,
But it's too late, I'm in love now.
I'm falling for your eyes,
But they don't know me yet.
I was made to keep you warm,
But I'm as cold as the wind blows.
So hold me in your arms.
Hold me like you want to be loved.
Settle down with me,
Let me be your safety.
Lay down with me,
Cover me up,
Cuddle me in.
Butterflies in my stomach,
Heart is pounding out of my chest.
This feels like...

The Climb
My thoughts spin me around,
Letting me down.
Time after time.
I am a expert at the fall.
Regardless of my fight,
I don't move forward.
I am going up a hill,
Only to find it just gets steeper.
Digging my fingers in the ground,
Just trying not to fall.
I lose grip to violently tumble down.
Scraped, bruised and bloody,
I keep trying.
This is for the ones who think they can't,
The ones who lost all faith.

This Foolish Heart of Mine
The air around me still feels like bars.
My space is getting smaller and smaller.
Claustrophobia sets in.
Trying to breathe but you sucked all the oxygen away.
With your words as sharp as razors,
Cutting at my human flesh.
My skin breaks and peels,
Seems it will never heal.
Run your tongue along my cheek,
taste the tears you brought.
The tears you seem to love to see.
Your eyes are just more bloodshot than normal.
I am the closet you cannot close.

It Gets Better
Is this feeling even possible??
Just when things seemed done, gone, dark
A burst of light shines on my soul
With a fresh mind and fresh eyes
I see what I want, what I gotta do.
The most important thing to remember,
When life throws you off balance,
Never give up.
Anything is possible.
Just when your on that ledge,
Getting ready to jump and give it all away,
Remember there is help closer than you think.
There is so much to live for,
Dry your eyes and stand back up.
Brush the dirt off your knees,
It gets better.
I got that sparkle...

This rope constricting me made of all your sweet lines.
I don't expect anything from you, because I am that ride or die type.

Most people don't think you deserve me.
I wanna be out, in the worse way.
I see you got some flavor too,
And so do I so them mix and do what we gotta do.

Nothing Worse Than Catching A Scrub
You said I love you,
Hell I said it too.
The only difference is,
That I didn't lie to you.

I am not even going to get bent over this.
I have had just enough of this.

Here we are,
At the bar like every Friday with all our friends.
It gets harder and harder every time I see you.
Why do I feel this way?
We are just friends.
But you have my heart and it aches.

Don't You Deserve To Be Happy
That's how they want you
Bound, cuffed and blindfolded
Not me though, I rise up above it all
I will stand for what I believe
Until I am on the floor black and blue
Bloody and mangled,
I will piece myself together
My opinions are strong like titanium
Bulletproof.
I base my opinions on truths
Not errors, I don't lack discernment
Trying to put your remedial thoughts in my head,
Is like trying to put hardened concrete into a mold,
It just wont happen.

So many memories, some good some bad
A lot of blowups and come ups
Sometimes making up is easier than breaking up
Ignore the fact our relationship has withered away
We just sit around and cry,
because neither of us wants to be the first say goodbye...

Staring at me with those judgmental eyes
