Feel Free
Letting go can set me free
I find the pieces that broke me
Slowly my heart begins to mend
I found the courage from within
That when people will see
My life has been reborn
My soul has been torn
Many times I had been warned
Of the choices I made
Can not define me today
I am lifted of this pain
GOD has gifted me this way
To see I can be
For you will surely see
I have begun to feel set free
I find the pieces that broke me
Slowly my heart begins to mend
I found the courage from within
That when people will see

Can not define me today

Break Free
BREAK FREE
They say love is hard
For you raised the bar
To all the pain you caused
I fell surely as your pawn
We met, I let you in
Never did I begin
To think of letting you win
This game you like to play
How could you do me this way
Why do I feel so lost
When all I did was love
You embraced my deepest flaws
Then threw them back when I was yours
Oh how this cycle does not end
I can’t seem to depend
On the love I have my for my self
I must reach from within
You will not spend ...

Today is the day
Today is the day
If I knew then when I was in the rut
That I could be learning how to conduct
A life full of hope
I would say I smoked to much dope
The way I perceived a life of recovery
Was surely not the way it played out in discovery
I have papers to prove my life anew
With letters of character from my peers
And bunches of heartfelt sober tears
Recovery has been worthwhile
Watching my son become a child
With so much love and fun he displays
How could I ever go astray?
...
If I knew then when I was in the rut

Great Happiness
Life of luxury will make you stressed
Finding ways to look your best
To you or to those in your world
Can make your mind but of a whirl Buying this buying that
can only make a person go bats
Those who struggle to reach the top Those who refuse to be stopped
Only love can make you full
Full of Happiness
Full of satisfaction
Full of appreciation
The heart is stronger
When you no longer
Feel threatened by vanity
And gain your sanity
To become the best
So wear that S on your chest
For love is great...

To each his own
To each is own
What does that mean?
I am seeking to find the identity in me.
Everytime I look in the mirror
I see what I truly can be
But my reflection wants me to flee
These flaws have become claws
Tearing at my soul
Two sides of me can no longer belong
Which way do I go says my brain
Then my heart tells me to be brave
Please show me Peace
Please show me Love
If only I can see what is to come
I have this desire for Everyone
What does that mean?
I am seeking to find the identity in me.

Create your new start!!
Often at times I sit and think
Of countless years I truly sank
Into the deep dark hole
I created in my soul
When someone comes along to tell you
That you truly belong
In a world that is good
In a world that is full
Of ways to be better
I can no more be fettered
By these chains of hate
For i know God did not create this fate
I want to be better for the child who needs to feather
Into a clear blue sky
For your life is not a bore
Dig deep so you can soar
To a better you in a swirl
Oh how i cant...
