Offering
Do you wait there
In the desert
Thirsty and drying out
Do you wait there
On the ocean
With the waves pushing your boat about
Do you wonder
About the good times
Or the bad times that you had to go without
Do you ever
Think about me
The one that loves you, no doubt
Don't just sit there
Get it together
You don't have to wear the mask
Don't be lonely
Don't feel embarrassed
All you have to do is ask
I am standing
Not too far away ...
In the desert

Fall for you
I see the change, leaves lazily falling down
I feel the breeze on my face, leaves crackling on the ground
The moon seems to be bigger, festivals come to town
Seasons are changing to bring about new
Summer nights are ending
This is fall for you
Rainy afternoon, beneath the porch with some coffee
I even brought a blanket to keep some of the dampness off of me
Remembering your lips as the rain drips softly
Old conversation we had, alone just us two
It was fall that I fell
Stuck in that fall with you
No swim trunks, no...

Keep it to myself
If you were to walk in, I would loose control
Probably get nervous and do something strange
Then if I told you, would you believe me
If I said that I'd always feel the same
When you need me, just call me
I will be right there to help
All that I could say, but I won't
I will keep it to myself
I could be comfortable in bed, but for you I will stay up all night
You could be wrong, still I am with you
I can take one to save you the fight
I could hit the lottery and make sure you had some wealth
I just can't tell you what I would...
Probably get nervous and do something strange

I am not there anymore
I used to be a child, busy with all I was tasked to do
I had no time to play, I had to help
So, I never learned what to do
Outside of right, I had no choice
I had no voice, I was kept away
When it was my time to leave home
I began to see the games people play
Heartaches, deceit, selfishness and lies
I never quite understood "what for"
The first heartache was the worst
I knew I wasn't home anymore
I showed love, no matter what I was going through
I gave, as I was taught to help
I listened to every word or thought

It falls
I woke this morning feeling good
Spent time cleaning up
Took myself a shower after that
Put some coffee in the cup
Missing a love, one I have never had
The one in my dreams that I reach to
Soon as I am about to touch her, she is gone and I am sad
Memories of nothing, nothing but a nagging dream
I let it go and walk out of the door making sure I have everything
Heading down the country roads, on my way in
Gripping to the wheel, so much between the starting hours til end
Daydreaming of her
Lonely words of my silent friend ...
