For Me
I have something of your's
It's not in my pocket
It's not in either hand
It's not your gold locket
Or your lost silver band.
It's nothing you can see
Nothing anyone can feel
It's something just for me
It's something I had to steal,
Want to know what I stole?
It's actually a couple of things!
I gave you despair and woe
As I took your hopes and dreams.

The Pure of Heart
Now I lay me down to sleep
I should die before I wake
Come and let me live with you
I pray the LORD my soul to take,
Daddy say's I'm in their way
That I'm one of life's mistakes
Mommy wishes I wasn't born
Because I'm sick and get the shakes,
My arm hurts burned by her iron
My eye black from daddy's fist
Said it's my fault because I'm so bad
Reason I'm scratched off of Santa's list,
They say life was good without me here
That they can't afford my doctor bills'
Let them be happy when...

We'll continue to talk from a distance
I'd rather that people stay away
Though I wish for the closeness others share
Though no one understands me anyway.
Even though I don't understand your games
The predictable reactions to your acts
Do you really expect the expected all the time?
To feed the imagination and ignore the facts?,
Am I suppose to hide what I really feel?
Hold back all I really want to say?
Do you really think it's cool to imitate?
I don't understand anyone anyway.
Why can't I just be who I am

Soothesaying Across Time
I can not and will not
It's just not a possibility
My tongue is having fits
I'm aiming at sensibility,
This conversation has momentum
Along with gravity and pull
I'll add an additional subtraction
Together we'll tame this bull!,
Our words have weight uncalculable
Our syllables vast as everlasting
As long as the day is receding

Dream Catcher
Gossamer strands of light falling off of my form
Trailing behind me as I float through your dream
Assigned guardian to catch lurking nightmares
While I'm here you will only have good dreams,
I see something dark growing from afar
I focus and am instantly there to impede
With a gentle push it tumbles back into never more
The night is young and so my search continues on.

A Demon's Recital
To be clothed in flesh must be near heavenly bliss!
To touch, taste, to receive, and deliver a kiss,
A gluttonous drink along with a seldom seen feast!
To engage in sexual bonding to satisfy the beast!,
(The demon fantasized with a new felt feeling
As a desire for embodiment became unyielding),
Never have I touched the ground that lies beneath
Nor smelled a lilly or caught a plummeting leaf."
Then the possessed laughed maniacally from deep within

Going Dark
Come in, I didn't hear the knock at the door
You've caught me at an awkward moment
Quickly shut the door behind you!
You're about to let all of the darkness out.
I'll wait while your eyes adjust to it
It's imperative that we disturb it no more
I know the air is a bit thick and humid
Your lungs will acclimate to it very soon.
No! Don't say a word, let it know you first
I know that you feel its subtle embrace tighten
It's curious to know what my visitor's are
Soon enough you will feel its grip lighten.

Oh you have such lovely skin!
Can I wear it sometimes?
I'd wear it with pride
Care for it with fine wines,
I'd show it to the world!
Without a thread of cover
How soft it would feel!
Saturated in seal blubber,
In it I would dance!
I would let everyone feel!

And operate those fine bones

Time To Play
Mommy, mommy, it's time to play!
I'm gonna play, play all day,
Out into the forest with my little book!
Me and Homer are gonna' read and all that gook,
Homer is old, old as grandfather Jones
I just bet, bet that his house is built of bones!,
He's teaching me to growl like a bear
And we stomp, stomp on all good and fair,
He lets me listen to the silly, stinking dead
Who you have to listen to through your head,
Listen mommy, did you hear that moan???
Can you hear them on my toy phone?,
They're so funny, always crying out...

Listen to that roar of silence
Let's form us an alliance,
In whispers we'll communicate
With shushing's we'll enunciate,
We'll lie here every night
In the dark away from any light,
And whisper until the dawn
(Even though my head is gone),
It soothes the soul to converse
(I rode along in that hearse),
