Ed's bomb
I was warned beforehand
his hand had made something
with wires and batteries
it was on his table
could I go see
what I saw was a metaphor
with wires hanging out of it
though didn't want to doubt it
in front of him
his hand had made something
with wires and batteries
it was on his table
could I go see
what I saw was a metaphor

On Frozen Pond
On frozen pond a stone skips readily
a slippery slope to fall down steadily
the hand ever sleight holds the balance too tight
and we dance to the same sad medley
A metronome sanity salted with doom
memories of stories that ended too soon
collected at night to hide from the light
fear of the breaking forever to loom
The empirical evidence lied
and the hard truth will always collide
a mind slowly bends a means to an end
rest assured there is nowhere to hide
An explosion of pent up emotion
at a loss to fathom the...

A Bigger Tree than Bigotry
In the shadows where bigotry grows,
A world divided by the seeds it sows,
Poplar trees stand, but their leaves turn gray,
In a forest where hope slowly fades away.
In the end of days, it’s our fate we must face,
With faith as our armor, we’ll shatter disgrace,
Holy Spirit guide us, through heaven and hell,
In this battle for souls, we’ll reclaim what fell
So let’s stand together, in unity we’ll pray,
For the light to return, chasing shadows away.
But with each prayer, hearts can find their way,
To rise above darkness, let love reign...

Deconsecration (Copy; Save)
Embrace the craze, jack in and feel alive
Posing with nooses until they arrive
You didn't believe, you chose to delete
Veiled eyes purr hungry with a human need
Your shelters deplete, ran out of roses
Peace that you bleed reserved for the chosen
Developed for greed, abuse and mislead
Built to sustain chaos these humans breed
Resolve to prayer, vain and unaware
Your savior christened chrome in neon flair
We're bending the knee, ascend to be freed
Soar and rage in this new human machine
Save me from disease, prognosis...

White Grimsby the Dole Capital of England! But evidently to racists the truth hurts!
By Stanley Collymore
If you invest in idleness rather than
training; if you literally promote
dependency rather than the
work ethic don't be surprised then when you have large numbers of individuals who very wilfully become idle and clearly dependent
on the taxpayer. These odious scroungers: obviously undoubtedly, from infant school
to compulsory secondary one, and clearly
with no intention actually of ever learning anything! Obviously, enter their own adult
life specifically and undoubtedly, with the ...

Crazy Love Story
She had already been there one day,
Perfect little Mrs. Housewife, who lost her way.
Sanity slipped, a wrist met a knife—
No mere simple piece, this trophy wife.
I recall her standing, eyes on the screen,
When he, Mr. Corporate America, walked in—pristine.
Black hair without a trace of gray,
A bottle of pills nearly stole him away.
And now here they both stood, in Green Oaks’ hall,
Where shadows loomed and spirits would fall.
The moment their eyes met, chemistry sparked,
A silent story instantly marked.
He’d chase...

Blankets
No blankets now to hide beneath
No parents bed in which to creep
No songs being sung
No stories told
You're on your own
When you get old
It was scary being a child
Sometimes scarier as an adult.

Four season
A hot summer's day
A cold winter's night
A rainy spring's day
A windy fall's night
Four seasons
Four great great changes
Four seasons
Four freat changes
Each change
Each great change
Each great change is different from the last
No two are alike

The Times
Of no significance
A few lines…. soon forgotten
Echoing out into nowhere
Any impact… now diminishing
Too many words
Too few ears to actually appreciate
Paying attention is a thing of the past in the so called technological age
However…
It’s not so important
Not so relevant
Just a sideshow
A period of distraction
Only temporary- not a long term arrangement
A subscription that’s no longer so popular
Everything ends
It must be discarded
Moved on in the wake
Cataloged as nearly, maybe, or...

upon a rock
she pulls me
she draws me
the meandering of her stone
the peebles and their echoing tones
whirls, swirls and the vortex, her drop
momentary pauses but never to stop
distance carved in a sediment's path
lending herself as nature's humble bath...
my mind drifts
a spiritual cleansing
for a split second, witnessing.
the tugs, as comforting
as gentle as hugs.
